Admission Configuration
Configure how student admissions are handled in your institute, including ID generation and automated notifications.
Admission ID Settings
Manage how Student Admission IDs (Roll Numbers) are generated.
Automatic Generation
You can enable Generate Admission ID Automatically to let the system assign IDs based on a sequence.
- Prefix: A string added to the beginning of the ID (e.g.,
ADM-) - Suffix: A string added to the end of the ID (e.g.,
-2024)
Example:
If Prefix is SIS- and Suffix is -24, the IDs generated will look like:
SIS-001-24SIS-002-24
If disabled, you will need to manually enter the Admission ID for each student during enrollment.
Admission Notifications
Keep applicants and administrators informed about the admission process status.
Notification Channels
Select which channels to use for sending updates:
- Email: Sends formal updates to the registered email address.
- SMS: Sends short text alerts to the registered mobile number.
- WhatsApp: Sends messages via WhatsApp Business API (if configured).
- In-App Notification: Shows alerts within the Pasarai ERP dashboard.
Event Triggers
Configure which events should trigger a notification:

| Applicant Shortlisted | Triggered when an applicant status changes to ‘Shortlisted’. |
| Document Requested | Triggered when the admin requests additional documents. |
| Application Approved | Triggered when the admission is confirmed/approved. |
| Application Rejected | Triggered when the application is turned down. |
Best Practices
- Keep Prefixes Short: Long prefixes can make IDs hard to read.
- Enable Multi-channel: Use Email for critical documents and SMS/WhatsApp for quick status updates.
- Review Templates: Ensure your communication templates are set up in the Communication module before enabling notifications.
